AfricaMuseum - Temporary exhibition: Unrivalled art
The exhibition relates to art history. The large display cabinets show an important collection of masks, statues, ivory carvings and applied arts. Almost all of the pieces come from the Congo and mainly date from the 19th and the first half of the 20th century.
The other display cases address specific issues, such as the notion of beauty in Africa, the European view of African artworks, the identity of the artist, or the analysis of styles.
